Cardiology Hospitalist

The Section of Cardiovascular Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) is seeking a full-time Cardiology Hospitalist to manage inpatients on the intermediate cardiovascular care unit.

The successful candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine with an interest in cardiovascular medicine. Patient care responsibilities on rotating day and night coverage and admitting for cardiology inpatients, in collaboration with internal medicine residents, cardiology fellows, and attendings. The cardiology hospitalist is responsible for urgent care for patients already admitted as well as the evaluation of new admis­sions, with performance of histories, physicals, and plans of care. The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with our clinical faculty and refer­ring physicians. The hospitalist also has opportunities for engagement in daytime cardiovascular testing, education and research.

The Section of Cardiovascular Medicine comprises approximately 40 cardiologists, 15 associate practice providers, 17 fellows, and 140 support staff, and boasts state-of-the-art facilities in a scenic four-season rural setting.

Qualifications

  • Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
  • Post graduate training in residency program

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Current New Hampshire Medical License
  • Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification (to be obtained within 5 years)
  • Active hospital staff membership
